When Will the iPhone 6 Be Introduced
While all of the news surrounding the iPhone may partially interest us, it is the iPhone 6 release date that we are going to give the most attention to. Everybody hates waiting, especially when you can’t even put a date on when to expect something. It is for this reason that the iPhone 6 release date is going to be the single most important piece of news surrounding the cell phone, rising way above everything else. Unfortunately for us, Apple doesn’t want us to know the exact release date until they say so in an official “announcement” (which is coincidentally unscheduled until a few weeks beforehand). But despite this, there are several ways that we can put together a fairly accurate guess to find out when the iPhone 6 release date is going to be.
The first and most important factor in the iPhone 6 release date is (ironically) the iPhone 5 release date. And unfortunately again for us, even this hasn’t been announced yet, so we are going to have to make an educated guess about the iPhone 5 release date too. The iPhone 5 was expected to be announced in summer but that evidently never happened and we are still waiting, though most sources will say the announcement should be soon. Historically speaking, the launch date is never that far off once it has been announced, so if it were to be announced within the next couple of weeks, we could expect it to hit stores sometime in the Christmas shopping season (which makes sense- as it would boost sales). So we can conservatively say that the iPhone 5 will be released at the very latest by late November early December.
So then, how does this affect the iPhone 6 release date? By using some simple math we can come to a statistical guess of when the iPhone 6 may be released. It’s actually quite simple, we take the average time in between iPhone launches in North America, and then add them to the projected launch date for the iPhone 5 (which we said earlier was November or December). If you look at all the past launch dates, all take place in either June or July, with one year apart from them. This would give us an average time in between launches of iPhones of a little over 11 months. Now all we have to do is add 11 months to the projected release date for the iPhone 5, and done! We have the iPhone 6’s projected release date, which would come in around the October to November area of 2012.
Of course, this is all speculation and the only way to know for sure when the iPhone is going to be released is by waiting until they announce it. This, however, shouldn’t stop people from at least speculating at the release date of the iPhone 6, and that is exactly what we are doing! If nothing else, this should at least of giving you a little bit of hope as to when the iPhone 6 is going to hit the shelves.
